On 28 Feb. 2022, the government of Newfoundland and Labrador (NL) is continuing universal and free delivery of covid-19 vaccines -- Pfizer, Moderna [AstraZeneca no longer in use] -- to all residents aged 5 and up. NL is reporting that 497,890 residents (over 95% of NL's total population) had received at least one dose of an approved COVID-19 vaccine. 465,392 (just under 91% of total population) have received two required doses. Newfoundland has a higher vaccination rate than any other Canadian province or territory. "You must be at least five years of age at the time of your vaccine. For children ages 5 to 11 years, your second dose appointment must be scheduled at least eight weeks after your first dose. Booster doses are available for all individuals ages 18 years and older, and individuals aged 12 to 17 years at higher risk of severe outcomes, when at least 22 weeks has passed since completion of your primary series.... Moderately to severely immunocompromised individuals aged 30 years and older should be immunized with a third dose of mRNA vaccine (Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna). Individuals in the 12 to 29 year age group may be offered the Moderna Spikevax vaccine (100 mcg)... Third dose appointments should be scheduled at least 28 days after the last dose of COVID-19 vaccine. Moderately to severely immunocompromised children aged 5-11 years should receive a three dose primary series of the Pfizer-BioNTech Comirnaty vaccine (10 mcg) if they have not yet been immunized, using an interv
