In the province of Newfoundland and Labrador (NL): "Effective Tuesday, September 21 at 12:01 a.m., towns and communities on the Northern Peninsula - East Region area of the province will return to Alert Level 2.” The rest of NL was already at Alert Level 2, Step 2: "No capacity restrictions at restaurants and lounges, with physical distancing maintained between patrons seated at adjacent tables. Self-serve buffets are prohibited. Dance floors permitted.” Provincial plan to introduce vaccine certificate entry system for some businesses announced, but not yet implemented.
