On 23 August 2021, the government of Newfoundland and Labrador (NL) continues with comprehensive contact tracing after a positive covid test: "Regional Health Authorities perform contact tracing to find and isolate cases of COVID-19, which helps stop the spread of the virus. They do this by interviewing individuals diagnosed with COVID-19 and ask about contacts ...Individuals who are identified as close contacts of a positive case are notified by Public Health. Contacts often require testing and/or isolation.
