As of 25 January 2021, the government of Newfoundland and Labrador continues to provide a variety of small payment deferrals and waivers to "support the provincial business community during the COVID-19 global pandemic? -- e.g., "The interest-free payment plan for workplace injury insurance is extended beyond 2020 to March 31, 2021 to allow employers more flexibility to pay.? Larger measures such as the C$25 million Small Business Assistance Program and provincial tax return and payment deferral expired on 15 December 2020 and 20 August 2020 respectively. The Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador called a provincial election for 13 February 2021. The incoming government may take additional measures after that date.
