On 30 December, Newfoundland and Labrador Department of Health and Community Services clarified that mandatory 14-day self-isolation for residents returning from other provinces does not apply to residents of Labrador returning from neighbouring communities in the Province of Quebec as long as they are asymptomatic and their trips were confined to specific Labrador-Quebec border regions with a "high level of social and economic integration?.
