Melissa took this picture in August, 2024. This is the store building where we bought fishing tackle, some food, candy and what-not. The store was Tipton's when we first moved to Read, Hopkin's later. So, recently, I would think this building is around over 60-something years old. When we lived there, I was a pre-teen; my sense of history was "what did I find on the beach yesterday at the low tide". Turns out, the bulding was already old; it was built in the 1920s, and is in process of being preserved.
